– 1/2 cup buttermilk
– 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
– 1 egg
– 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Whipped Cream Cheese Frosting ingredients:
– 4 ounces of cream cheese, softened
– 2-3 Tablespoons heavy cream
– 1/2 cup powdered sugar
– pinch of salt
– 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
– 3/4 cups heavy cream

You’ll also need:
– 12 Yellow Starburst candies

Preheat oven to 350 and prep a donut pan with non-stick spray.

In a bowl whisk together the cake flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt.

Make a well in the center and add the buttermilk, vanilla and egg. Stir until just combined.

In a small bowl combine the baking soda and vinegar. Stir into the batter along with a few drops of red food gel dye.

Spoon the batter into the prepped pan and bake for 10 minutes. Let cool on a wire rack.

For the frosting, in the bowl of an electric mixer, mix together the cream cheese, heavy cream, powdered sugar, salt and vanilla. Mix until well blended. Set aside.

In a separate bowl whip the heavy cream on high, until soft peaks form. Fold in the cream cheese mixture and whip up again.

Spoon frosting into a piping bag and pipe onto the cooled donuts.

Print out the Flash logo the size of your donuts and cut out to make a template.

Soften the Starburst in the microwave for 8 seconds and roll out flat with a rolling pin.

With a clean x-acto knife, use the template to cut out lightning bolt shapes.

Place on top of donuts and serve.
