It’s now been proven (by science, you guys!) that adult coloring books are among the best and most relaxing tasks for a brain addled by worry. And thankfully, it’s not pictures of grocery shopping or filing taxes or other such grown-up activities. We get to color in intricate drawings of TV show properties we love. We’ve already told you about coloring books for Game of Thrones, Sherlock, and Outlander, but now we have a journey into the very heart of the un-colored schism with BBC’s official Doctor Who coloring book. Or “colouring” book if you’re British or Canadian.
This release is 96 pages of highly detailed, intricately lined tableaux of time and space scenarios featuring your favorite Time Lord, his various companions, the TARDIS, and villains galore. You better get the big box of colored pencils for this one, since everything from the grey and silver of Weeping Angels and Cybermen to the many shades of orange used in Rassilon’s presidential garb are available to fill with glorious vibrancy.
Our favorite pages are silhouettes of each Doctor filled with images that represent their specific era. Like the Third Doctor’s head has the Master and UNIT, and the Tenth Doctor’s has the Abzorbaloff and the Toclafane. Because those are clearly the coolest monsters of the whole of David Tennant‘s run. You can see a gallery of some other of our favorites below!
Since we’re a whole year away from a new full season of Doctor Who, this will certainly keep you busy for awhile. Unless you’re the fastest colorer in the history of coloring. You can pick it up through this link here.
Will you be picking up this time trinket? Do you already have it and want to share your art with us? Do all of that in the comments below!
