If you’re looking for a friendly argument, you definitely wouldn’t want to get into a debate with Uncle Ruckus from The Boondocks. But he’s the perfect angry man for the job if you’re looking for someone to help you recreate a famous Monty Python sketch, like we did on our Alpha series Talkin’ Toons.
The great Gary Anthony Williams was the latest guest to join host Rob Paulsen on the show, and the two agreed to read one of the best, most memorable sketches from Monty Python’s Flying Circus: the infamous and brilliant “Argument Clinic.” Rob took over for John Cleese’s professional arguer as Pinky and the Brain‘s Pinky, and Gary filled in for Michael Palin’s customer desperate for a real argument as his The Boondocks character Uncle Ruckus.
Between Pinky’s totally absurd demeanor and British accent, and Uncle Ruckus’ naturally argumentative nature, no one would disagree this is one of the most fitting (and funniest) scenes we have ever done on the show.
If you want to see the rest of this interview, don’t forget the only place you can find complete episodes of Talkin’ Toons is at our online Alpha community, where it’s just one of our many great shows available there. And if you’re debating if you should join, new members get their first 30 days free just for signing up.
Which famous Monty Python sketch would be even better with Uncle Ruckus? Don’t be disagreeable, tell us in the comments below which one you’d like to recast him in.
