The New TMNT 2 Posters Feature Our Heroes in Baby Form

The appearance of the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has been slightly controversial, to say the least—some folks like the distinctive, personalized outfits, larger size and nostrils, but not everyone’s totally sold on ’em. One thing we should all agree on, though, is that as pre-mutated babies, the turtles were cute li’l reptiles. And these new character posters for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows revealed today bring all the d’awwws. It’s like the kid versions are cosplaying as their adult selves! (Check ’em all out in the gallery below.)

One day, the boys will do machines, party, lead, and be cool but rude. But for now—in their infant form—they can just be cute with their itty-bitty masks, and undoubtedly spin-off a whole new merchandise line of TMNT Babies. I’m guessing producer Michael Bay didn’t have a lot to do with this marketing, since he wouldn’t know cute if it shot him in the butt with a gigantic bazooka painted in American flag colors. (As it would do if he were directing himself.)

So far, the movie sequel looks like it’s getting everything right that the first one maybe didn’t quite nail. Are you starting to get your hopes up yet? Is it too premature to book the pizza party? Do you feel like you’re on a clear blue pane of glass, skipping stones?

[Seriously, get that song in the new movie and I will mark out HARD. I might be the only one, but I can live with that.]

Are you feeling the T-U-R-T-L-E power yet? Cowabunga your butt down to comments and let us totally discuss.
