Talking LET’S BE COPS with Stars Damon Wayans Jr., Keegan-Michael Key, and Rob Riggle

Security was tight at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, but there was nowhere I felt safer than on the Nerdist Stage at Petco Park. Amidst the sweet sounds of Nerdist Laser Tag, I sat down with the stars of the forthcoming buddy cop, but not quite real cop comedy Let’s Be Cops, Damon Wayans Jr., Keegan-Michael Key, and Rob Riggle. While none of them may be actual police officers, they were all actually delightful people with which to speak, and we talked about everything from what costume got them in the most trouble to where their film stacks up in the rich canon of buddy cop comedies, and beyond. You may have to wait until August 13th to see the probably-definitely less-than-legal hijinks of Let’s Be Cops, but in the meantime, you have the right to remain silent, and you have the right to sit still for several minutes while you watch the interview awesomeness contained in the video above.

Let’s Be Cops opens nationwide on August 13, 2014.
