Supercut Proves The Kill Count is Strong With Luke Skywalker

When you think of the proficient killers in Hollywood history, you probably think of Arnold Schwarzenegger in the Terminator movies, or maybe Sylvester Stallone as Rambo. You probably don’t think of Mark Hamill’s “aw-shucks-galactic-farmboy-turned-Jedi” Luke Skywalker as a one-man murder machine. He’s just that kid who wants to go to Tosche Station and pick up some power converters, right?

Well, what if I told you that Luke Skywalker has left a larger body count in his wake than Freddy Krueger, Michael Myers and Jason Voorhees combined? Luke is a killing machine, a veritable intergalactic version of the shark in Jaws, and in the Star Wars galaxy, the only person who can even compete with him in the killing department in his dear old dad, Darth Vader. There’s a trail of blood following Luke from Tatooine to Endor. No wonder the Emperor wanted to recruit him. He already had one foot in the dark-side door.

YouTube user Mr. Sunday Movies has compiled all of Luke’s various kills into one supercut, and let me tell you, there are a lot. That’s even without counting the big one at the end of A New Hope. I actually think the makers of the supercut were being generous at putting the population of the Death Star in the hundreds of thousands. It’s the size of a moon, I bet there were millions on that thing. What I’m saying is that Luke is an even bigger killer than this little compilation is letting on.

Will Luke Skywalker being adding to his kill count in The Force Awakens? We know Luke is “missing” in the new movie. Maybe someone told him there was a petting zoo on the Death Star and he’s been a basket case ever since, crying in Yoda’s old hut on Dagobah. In the meantime, as we wait for the truth about Luke to be revealed, you can watch the whole video above.
