The Super Smash Bros. 3DS has been keeping the registers ringing, bringing in $2.8 million in its first week on the market. But what about the folks who would much rather play Smash on their television sets? Well, anyone looking to put that GameCube adapter to good use is in luck, because Super Smash Bros. is set to hit the Wii U on November 21 here in North America.
Nintendo also plans to release their highly sought after Amiibo figurines on the same day. The figures, which use similar NFC technology to Disney Infinity and Skylanders figures, will run you $13 a piece, and I imagine collecting them now would be great idea considering that they’ll also be compatible with the New Nintendo 3DS, which as of now has no clear release date for the US.
After a few days of Super Smash Bros. action, I have taken a liking to the tongue-waving Pokémon Greninja, who has combos for days if you know how top properly “zone” with him. Of course, this revelation came after coming to the terms with the harsh reality that Little Mac does not suit my play-style, which is far more aerial-based, as opposed to the ground dominance that’s encouraged for Mac players.
