STRANGER THINGS, TWIN PEAKS, and More Sculpted Art by Cuddles and Rage

In last week’s Fan Art Friday, we looked at some dioramas showing off the everyday lives of superhero action figures. We’re sticking with the three dimensional theme this week but with a twist: The dioramas featured in these images are sculpted by hand by Liz and Jimmy Reed, a.k.a. Cuddles and Rage. Their work first came across my path when I was scouting for Stranger Things fan art. I mean, look at this terrific Eleven in the woods with her waffles:

Then I explored their portfolio and found art inspired by all sorts of pop culture franchises. Their style is unique and adds a different flavor to characters and ideas we know and love. I can’t imagine the patience that goes into crafting each piece. I particularly like this Twin Peaks art because cherry pie and coffee are some of the best things in life.

More creative work from Liz and Jimmy is on display in the gallery below. You’ll see No-Face from Spirited Away, Slimer from Ghostbusters, a Shaun of the Dead diorama, and more. Once you’ve had your fill of fan art, visit Cuddles and Rage to see Liz and Jimmy’s adorable web comic, follow them on Facebook or Instagram, and shop prints and sculpts on Etsy. Also! They have a book coming in November called Sweet Competition.

Do you create fan art? I want to see your portfolio for future Fan Art Friday round-ups–yes, you. Get in touch with me via email at [email protected] and we’ll go from there.
