Still More From “The Amazing Spider-Man”

Wait, didn’t we just get another The Amazing Spider-Man trailer? (Okay, it was 11 days ago, but still…) The hype machine’s in full effect, so here’s a four-minute “super preview” with more scenes from the movie, including an extended rescue scene on a bridge after the Lizard does some damage, plus some more web-slinging and the rest is, mostly, stuff you’ve seen before in that trailer.

And then, part of the film’s viral campaign, there’s this quickie intern recruitment video from Oscorp Industries featuring the pre-Lizard Dr. Curt Connors;

And this clip, also from the viral campaign, which includes interviews with Rhys Ifans on playing Dr. Connors and the Lizard and director Marc Webb on the character — at the end, at about the 1:20 mark, there are bits of the Connors-Lizard transformation:

In a crowded Summer movie schedule, they have to keep tantalizing you. Did this do the trick?

    I’m a huge Spider Man fan, and yes the previous trilogy was awesome! But i’m thrilled to get a look at the new story and the new film! It can only be awesome!

  2. I’m still waiting for Dark Night Rises but this one is definitely on my must see list! Can’t wait.

  3. pharoah says:

    I am and I think its amazing and this is my movie of the year 😛

  4. Dustin says:

    Yeah, I’m not geeked up for this one like I was for The Avengers and am for The Dark Knight Rises. Really haven’t been since it was announced, and these clips don’t do anything to change that for me. I think it’s just too soon after the Raimi trilogy.

  5. Jake says:

    @Spray-Tan I don’t believe Peter Parker ever rode a skateboard in Ultimate Spiderman. He was a classic nerd just like Raimi’s incarnation who didn’t really do those kinds of outdoor activities.

    I have to say, as I got into all the different Spider-Man incarnations starting with Ultimate, that even though I grew up on the Ultimate version which I think the movie is mirroring or at least taking references to, I am not excited for this film. I don’t know what it is, it just doesn’t have this something, this certain flair, or… je ne sais quoi if you will. It’s missing something that’s making it really hard for me to get excited for it. It’s like they’re trying too hard to be cool and it only makes it look more lame. I’ll still see it of course, I’m just saying.

    I’m *really* annoyed that in the ‘viral’ intern spot he calls reptiles a species. Come on people this ain’t junior high english class. Do some modicum of fact checking, k?

  7. Spray-Tan says:

    I’m worried about this one, I’m a huge AMS fan and I should be getting chills but I’m not. The web shooters and Gwen Stacy and spidey cracking jokes give me hope, but no J. Jonah Jameson, a skateboarding peter parker ( was that in the Ultimate spider man comics or something?) I wish Marvel would have waited to give us the perfect mix of Raimi’s spider-man and this incarnation. Between this and Prometheus at least my summer will be filled with geek boners.
