Starbucks’ Witch’s Brew Frappucino Will Make You Cackle

If you heard about the multicolored unicorn Frappucino and glitter cappucinos and thought they were too bright and sparkly for you, Starbucks’ latest concoction might be more up your (Knockturn) alley. The Witch’s Brew Frappuccino, which you can order right now at your local Starbucks, might still be candy-colored, but definitely has some delicious ickiness to it, too.

The Witch’s Brew is made of toad’s breath, bat’s warts, and lizard scale powder — actually orange crème Frappucino, chia seeds, and vanilla whipped cream. The slightly fruity mixture is served cold and chilly, as an October night. You can find a full list of ingredients on Starbucks’ online menu, but don’t look at the calories. They may scare you a little bit.

Starbucks has had a Halloween tradition of creating special, secret drinks for a few days each October, starting in 2014 with the Franken Frappucino, 2015 and 2016 with the Frappula Frappuccino, and last year’s Zombie Frappucino. The Witch’s Brew has a lot more creep factor than previous year’s drinks. The added chia seeds are a brilliant way to add a little texture and a lot of heebie jeebies to the otherwise sugary brew.

You probably won’t see The Witch’s Brew Frappucino on the menu board, but don’t take this secret to the grave! Tell your friends about this one-of-a-kind beverage to be the hero of Halloween. The drink is only available for a limited time at Starbucks everywhere.

What would be in your Halloween Frappucino? Tell us the ingredients (real or imaginary) in the comments.
