Finn sure does lead an exciting life—one filled with strange worlds, bizarre creatures, incredible escapades fraught with danger, and a beloved best friend he can rely on. You know who else that applies to? Finn!
Truth be told, it never occurred to us how much Star Wars‘ Finn has in common with Adventure Time‘s, until we combined pop culture’s two best Finns in this animated crossover. The voice of Adventure Time‘s Finn, Jeremy Shada, joined host Rob Paulsen on our Alpha series Talkin’ Toons in recreating that first scene between Finn and Poe Dameron in The Force Awakens, where the two escape the First Order together and Poe gives his new pal a moniker that’d stick for life.
While Shada played Star Wars‘ Finn as Adventure Time‘s Finn (duh—and really, there must be something about the name that makes one excitable), Rob just made up a new voice on the spot for Poe, because he’s Rob Paulsen. The scene plays very differently when Poe sounds like an 80-year-old man who spends every afternoon at the dog track.
