STAR WARS Speeder Bike Chase Recreated with a Real Life Jetovator

While Star Wars fans on Earth may not have access to any type of repulsorlift speeder bike, it turns out that we may be able to get our hands on a pretty great stand-in (as long as you’re over a body of water). YouTuber Devin Super Tramp made one of the most inventive recreations ever of a particular type of hydro-powered flying water bike dubbed the “Jetovator” to live out the chase scene from Return of the Jedi.

The chase sequence, which comes via Sploid, features a nearly shot-for-shot recreation of the original sequence in Episode VI, as well as a few wonderful additional touches like Chewbacca with a pretty great gray mustache and Ewoks (that is, children in Ewok suits) who are both deadly and super cute… exactly like “real” Ewoks.

A few highlights from the video include Devin as Han Solo (he nails that Imperial Trooper flip), a track that sounds like something out of The Phantom Menace, some pretty intense blaster-saber dueling, and oh, did we mention little kids dressed like Ewoks?

If you’re wondering how Devin Super Tramp and his team pulled off the insane sequence, a behind-the-scenes look is available below. It’s worth the watch if you’re curious about how the Jetovators work, or if you really love cosplay outfits made out of duct tape.
