STAR WARS REBELS Clip Has Two Inquisitors for the Price of One

The second season of Lucasfilm and Disney XD’s Star Wars Rebels is already cooking with some major gas. After a premiere that featured Darth Vader encountering his former padawan Ahsoka Tano, and the next two episodes seeing the return of Captain Rex and a pair of retired other Clone Troopers, it might have seemed like the show was becoming all about The Clone Wars characters. However, this new clip for the next episode, “Always Two There Are,” proves that it’s still got tricks up its sleeve all its own.

We’ve known for a while that Sarah Michelle Gellar would be joining the series, voicing the Inquisitor known as the Seventh Sister, but at the end of the previous episode, “Relics of the Old Republic,” we only saw a male Inquisitor enter the scene. Turns out he’s brought a friend to attack Ezra and Sabine, and she’s not playing nice. As the episode title suggests, in reference to that old Sith adage, two bad guys are better than one. Ezra and Kanan had enough trouble taking on the last Inquisitor, which means taking on two will be almost impossible, even if they are younger and less experienced. You don’t really need experience when you have a self-spinning double lightsaber.

Okay, so it’s one thing to have two Inquisitors take on a young Jedi-in-training and a Madalorian warrior, but having dozens of tiny probe droids to back you up is just not sporting. They really are bad guys. Bad guys have no sense of a fair fight. Where’s Zeb and Chopper when you need ’em?

The clip ends right when it’s getting good, which is what a clip is supposed to do. I guess we’ll just have to watch the whole thing. Oh darn. Episode five of Star Wars Rebels season 2 airs this Wednesday, October 28, on Disney XD.
