STAR WARS: EPISODE VII Reveals the Millennium Falcon and a Batty Stowaway

A long time ago, in a Gotham far away, Zack Snyder and J.J. Abrams decided to have a little fun with Star Wars: Episode VII and Superman v Batman: Dawn of Justice. They have spent the weeks since San Diego Comic-Con trading crossover jokes, but we might have to give the winning pitch from the Star Wars team as of this morning. Perhaps in light of recent set leaks, Bad Robot has released the first shots of the Millennium Falcon with the galaxy’s most perfect easter egg in the form of a camouflaged Batman Tumbler from The Dark Knight trilogy.

If you missed the moments leading up to this epic reveal, check out these amazing mash-ups, photoshop spoofs, and figurine stagings that have been trickling out from the movie makers all summer. First, a Jedi-armed Henry Cavill in all his superness.

This had Star Wars actor John Boyega living out his Batman fantasy:

Then Snyder had some fun with his toys and teamed Batman up with everyone’s favorite sassy droid.

Abrams went a step further, drafting etiquette-obsessed C-3PO to take up the bat cape.

And the second rumors hit the web about the Batmobile going missing from the Batman v Superman set, Snyder was absolutely positive he had ID’ed the perps and released their pictures to the public.

All these fun and entertaining shots sat well with the empire of fanboys and fangirls on the internet, and we’re sure many a fanfic was inspired by these amazing ideas. Can you imagine Jim Gordon going up against IG-88 in a dark alley? We’re not going to lie – we might be outlining some things right now.

On the whole though, Abrams had been fairly quiet with only the one direct response to Snyder’s puckish sense of humor. We have to say that the wait was worth it though. This video has us reminiscing about a certain Star Destroyer and masquerading hunks of junk that escaped with the trash. Please, please, please give us an epic sewer worm that has been living under Gotham for centuries next!

How else can they mash Batman v Superman into Star Wars? Tell us your ideas in the comments below!
