A long time ago, in a Gotham far away, Zack Snyder and J.J. Abrams decided to have a little fun with Star Wars: Episode VII and Superman v Batman: Dawn of Justice. They have spent the weeks since San Diego Comic-Con trading crossover jokes, but we might have to give the winning pitch from the Star Wars team as of this morning. Perhaps in light of recent set leaks, Bad Robot has released the first shots of the Millennium Falcon with the galaxyâs most perfect easter egg in the form of a camouflaged Batman Tumbler from The Dark Knight trilogy.
If you missed the moments leading up to this epic reveal, check out these amazing mash-ups, photoshop spoofs, and figurine stagings that have been trickling out from the movie makers all summer. First, a Jedi-armed Henry Cavill in all his superness.

This had Star Wars actor John Boyega living out his Batman fantasy:

Then Snyder had some fun with his toys and teamed Batman up with everyoneâs favorite sassy droid.

Abrams went a step further, drafting etiquette-obsessed C-3PO to take up the bat cape.

And the second rumors hit the web about the Batmobile going missing from the Batman v Superman set, Snyder was absolutely positive he had IDâed the perps and released their pictures to the public.

All these fun and entertaining shots sat well with the empire of fanboys and fangirls on the internet, and weâre sure many a fanfic was inspired by these amazing ideas. Can you imagine Jim Gordon going up against IG-88 in a dark alley? Weâre not going to lie – we might be outlining some things right now.
On the whole though, Abrams had been fairly quiet with only the one direct response to Snyderâs puckish sense of humor. We have to say that the wait was worth it though. This video has us reminiscing about a certain Star Destroyer and masquerading hunks of junk that escaped with the trash. Please, please, please give us an epic sewer worm that has been living under Gotham for centuries next!
How else can they mash Batman v Superman into Star Wars? Tell us your ideas in the comments below!
Batman was pretty much over for me after Michael Keaton. I mean, George Clooney? Please.
never did like Batman over glorified McGyver/ Inspector Gadget
I’d be cool with the entire Justice League beating the stuffing out of Jar-Jar…
Wait hold on hold on…Star Wars is under Disney and so is Marvel. Batman is Warner bros. Warner is competing with Disney in the super hero stage. So how the heck did they get a batman eastergg approved this video.
darthvader as batman luke as superman hon as lex
just DONT!
How about Snyder dresses up the new Wonder Woman as slave Leia and Lois as Padme from the arena and Abrams dresses his actresses as Catwoman, Black Canary, and Zatanna
NERD MIND BLOWN
that awkward moment when you realize that even C3PO would make a better batman than ben affleck.
I’m pretty sure you’ll eat those words.
Burn!!!
If Abrams releases that the Batmobile in that video was life size, I’m not sure I could feel that kind of happiness again.
EPISODE 7 Vs. BATMAN V SUPERMAN will be quite the box office battle of 2015
lol no it wont… EP7 will double that Super Hero crap
why is that batman holding a gun?
its Han Solos Hand pistol.
what destroy an epic of classics are you nuts biggest mistake lucus made was sell starwars really? i just hope disney stays true to the plot and gives the star war fans what they expect not some cheesy s t with marvel in it what a crock that would be and make the disney co. look lame
I just want to be a Troll here, Now that DISNEY Owns damn near Every FaireTale and Science Fiction story, has anyone created an Grand Unifying Theory of What Disney now owns, from StarWars to StarTrek and Marvel Comics ?
Um, I would totally read that theory.
Dude…Disney does NOT own Star Trek; Paramount & CSB own Star Trek.
If Disney owned Star Trek, I’d kill myself via my own phaser…somehow.
If Disney owned all the franchises, the crossovers would be epic. And we’d finally settle the old question, Federation Heavy Cruiser vs Star Destroyer.
You are truly a beautiful person.
Dark Side = Darkseid
Reminds me of the mothership model from Close Encounters has Darth Vader’s Tie figther and R2-D2 built into it: https://flic.kr/p/2rtG3V
Meh…nice homage to Batman, but it’s a bit silly. Why would there be a DC Universe car in a Star Wars universe? I’m surprised Star Wars fanboys haven’t gone nuts….makes no sense.
Ben Affleck > Kevin Smith > Mark Hamill > Exogorth > Graboid > Kevin Bacon.
Expound!
The 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon! Yes!
Yeah, that’s what I thought. Mynocks. Chewie, check the rest of the ship, make sure there aren’t any more attached.
That’s not a bat, it’s a minok. 🙂
Mynock Man! He will save the day with his wings, high-pitched scream and sucker -mouth!
They could show them both getting their asses kicked by Avengers 2
Have Batman steal the Hyperdrive!
Maybe they are going mention throughout the whole movie how the autopilot on the Falcon is not working, and at the last minute we will find out that Batman fixed it…
