The EPIX network has announced that it will present an all-day tribute to Gene Roddenberry’s classic science fiction franchise with Star Trek Fest, including the world television premiere of last summer’s hit Star Trek: Into Darkness, on Sunday, February 16th at 8 pm ET, along with original, all-new commentary from two of the original series stars, Leonard Nimoy and the king of Facebook himself, George Takei.
Immediately preceding the premiere, Star Trek Fest will feature a special, A Conversation With Leonard Nimoy, in which Nimoy shares his personal insights and anecdotes from his almost fifty year involvement with the Star Trek franchise. The line-up will be punctuated with special segments from George Takei throughout the marathon.
Star Trek Fest begins at 6 am ET on February 16th with the entire programming line-up available all month long via EPIX On Demand, EPIX.com, and all the various EPIX apps. Epix may have botched the launch of Patton Oswalt’s latest stand up special, but maybe Star Trek Fest will help them make amends to disappointed nerds everywhere.

How and where can I view this? Tried checking with my cable company to see if the chanel could be added and they said no. So waant to watch but would be better online.
Epix appears to be available on netflix streaming.
I hope they didn’t manage to secure rights to Star Trek IV, because if that’s the one they’re choosing to skip, they’re failing completely!
This is pretty cool, though. Except I still have no idea what EPIX is or how to get it.
Why not show 6 or 7 as well? 11 seems like it should totally be there. If you are only showing TOS films anyway.
