SPIDER-MAN Voice Cast Previews the New Animated Series in Video Featurette

This weekend, Spider-Man is returning to Disney XD with a brand new animated series that mixes in elements of the classic Spidey as well as some of the more recently created characters from the comics. While the latest Spider-Man show is once again rolling back the clock to Peter Parker’s high school years, he has a few new classmates, including Miles Morales and Anya Corazon!

Within the comic book realm, Miles is the Ultimate Spider-Man who was later incorporated into Marvel’s primary universe, while Anya was the heroine known as Araña before she became the new Spider-Girl. On this series, both Peter and Miles will be Spider-Man, but it’s unclear if Anya will immediately join them in costume. Either way, Anya won’t be left out of the action, as the class of Horizon High School helps Peter both in and out of costume. Disney XD has released a behind-the-scenes video with the voice cast of Spider-Man that offers up a glimpse of the new dynamic, as well as the return of some familiar characters from the comics.

Former Spider-Man actor Josh Keaton is the new voice of Norman Osborn, while Robbie Daymond is the latest actor to portray Peter Parker and his alter ego. Miles Morales is played by Nadji Jeter, with Melanie Minichino as Anya Corazon, Laura Bailey as Gwen Stacy, Bettina Kenney as Liz Allan, Max Mittelman as Harry Osborn, and Fred Tatasciore as Max Modell. Although he is not featured in this video, comedian Patton Oswalt will provide the voice of Peter’s beloved Uncle Ben Parker.

Spider-Man will premiere on Disney XD this Saturday, August 19.
