So far 2016 has been…what’s the right word…exhausting. I think the phrase the kids use is that this year has “no chill.” So why don’t we take a few seconds and get away from all of the terribleness going on and enjoy something that really does have some chill, something that is silly and unimportant in the best way? How about a video of a cat riding a skateboard all on its own?

This video of Boomer the skateboarding cat was posted by the Youtube channel CATMANTOO, which is dedicated to showing “that cats are smart and teachable.” This video proves they are definitely trainable and intelligent enough to get them to cruise along the coast on their very own board, soaking in the rays and sea breeze like they don’t have a care in the world (which they don’t because they are cats, and cats only live their best nine lives).

This isn’t the first cat they’ve trained to do this, though. In the past they’ve shared videos of their other cat, Didga, also going out for a spin. And since Boomer was such a pleasant distraction, let’s enjoy one of Didga’s rides as well.

Alright, this is just what we need. So let’s just watch the cats do other things too and call this a good day.
