Show Your Best Friend Some Love with This Poké Ball Necklace

Every true Pokémon master knows that part of what made the cartoon series so special was the bond between Ash Ketchum and Pikachu. The trainer taught us to not only care about having the strongest of monsters but to create a close unbreakable bond with these creatures that are so interegal to your journey. It’s the only way you can become the very best.

Unfortunately pocket monsters aren’t real (yet?), but it doesn’t diminish the message — friendship is important, no matter what path you decide to take in life. What better way to show off that you care than with a Poké Ball friendship necklace? Online Etsy seller TrinketySlot has a slew of necklaces, including the aforementioned Poké Ball pendant. It’s a fairly simple design with the classic red and white ball, but it splits in half vertically so that you and your bestie can let the world know how tight you truly are.

Furthermore, you can have a special message engraved on the back, like “I choose you” or whatever you feel is appropriate. If the classic red and white ball is not your style, a Masterball is also available in all of its purple glory. Best of all, these are all hand-crafted and will only set you back $24 without the engraving and an extra $10 if you want to add that extra special message. There are other nerd-tastic necklaces available as well, that aren’t necessarily for sharing with another.

I’d like to point out that this is a missed opportunity to add a Love Ball to the collection. The little known ball features a pink and white paint job with a heart on the pink side that would be perfect for that special someone. Talk about a money maker come February.

Do you plan on nabbing one of these bad boys for you and a friend? If you are, which one? Make sure to let us know in the comment section below. Now I want real life Pokémon.
