Sesame Street Presents “Birdwalk Empire”

Wait, was Sesame Street like this when we were kids?

Here’s the beloved children’s show’s take on Boardwalk Empire, in which Lucky Ducky Thompson and Mallard Capone take on Clucky Luciano in a turf war, broken up by Agent Van Cuckoo before everyone heads to the “beakeasy.” I’m pretty sure kids won’t understand the references, but their parents will.

I’m surprised they didn’t have a bird called Richard Sparrow, wearing a mask on half of his face.

Yes Sesame Street has always been this cool.

When I was kid they had Miami MICE and Twin Beaks.

I think Big Bird should make an appearance in followup skits since he just got whacked at the presidential debate.

I love it when Frank Oz drops by to participate in a sketch.
