See “Pop My Culture”‘s Cole Stratton’s “140 Characters” in Santa Monica

Our own Pop My Culture podcast co-host and SF Sketchfest co-founder Cole Stratton is going solo with his first one-man comedy show here in L.A. — okay, Santa Monica, close enough — and he’d appreciate some Nerdist-fan love at his shows. So, here are the details:

The show is called 140 Characters, and it’s a Twitter-themed multimedia show in which Cole plays 140 characters expressed in the 140 characters of their Twitter posts. Yes, that’s a clever concept, and lest you think it goes on forever, he gets through all of ’em in under an hour. That would qualify as a whirlwind, and a lot of laughs packed into a short time, too. It’s safe to say you won’t see anything quite like this elsewhere.

So if you’re within range of Santa Monica either this Wednesday or next, you should get on over to M.I.’s Westside Comedy Theater on the Promenade (actually in the alley between 3rd and 4th streets south of Arizona) in Santa Monica. Tickets are just five bucks, and you know Cole’s funny, so it’s something you’ll want to see. Wednesday, June 19th’s show is at 9 pm, and June 26th’s show is at 8 pm. You can get tickets at the door, or get ’em early online by clicking here. In the meantime, listen to Pop My Culture and follow Cole on Twitter @colestratton. Go!
