Sally Field, J.J. Abrams, and More: Upcoming Podcasts

We at the Nerdist Podcast Network have been working tirelessly to blah blah blah you just want to know what’s coming up this week, don’t you? Okay, then, let’s go right to it, with the usual Subject To Change disclaimer:

We have not one but TWO big Nerdist Podcast episodes this week. With Hello, My Name Is Doris opening in limited release on Friday (3/11), star Sally Field — Sally Field! Norma Rae! Mary Todd Lincoln! A Steel Magnolia! Forrest Gump’s mama! Sister Bertrille! Gidget! Legend!! — and director/writer/The State alumnus Michael Showalter will be dropping by for a chat about career evolutions and how the new movie came together. That episode should be in your ears on Tuesday. And on Friday, J.J. Abrams and writer Dan Trachtenberg are scheduled to come by to talk about their new one, 10 Cloverfield Lane, also hitting theaters this week.

That’s enough for any podcast network, but we will have more because we are givers. Also coming this week will be Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski, the writers behind movies like Ed Wood, Big Eyes, and The People Vs. Larry Flynt and the current O.J. mini-series American Crime Story, on The Writers Panel, which will also offer a bonus episode of the “Final Finale” panel from the 2015 ATX Television Festival, featuring showrunner superstars Marta Kauffman, Ron Cowen & Dan Lipman, and Graham Yost.

From a certain popular Twitter account to big-time TV producer is Justin Halpern‘s journey, and you’ll hear all about it on The Jonah Keri Podcast this Friday. Shatner! Seinfeld! Shit My Dad Says! San Diego sports! Guaranteed good time.

And Jade Hassouné from ABC Fam… er, Freeform’s Shadowhunters will be dropping facts like they’re hot on Today We Learned.

Plus more episodes of many of our other shows, of course. So, let’s meet at the Nerdist Podcast Network homepage and Facebook page and listen to all the goodness.
