10 CLOVERFIELD LANE Super Bowl Spot Shows Something Is Out There

The newest trailer for Bad Robot and Paramount’s 10 Cloverfield Lane just premiered, and it gave a little more detail into the plot, as well as tease what fans had hoped was coming.

The trailer opens with Mary Elizabeth Winstead’s character getting into a car accident, and waking up in the bunker from the first trailer with John Goodman looking over her. He claims that he saved her life from whatever terrors are above ground. This new trailer shows that the nice family unit we saw teased in the first trailer a few weeks ago was merely a red herring.

The trailer ends with an alarm sounding, which we have seen before. However, we get to see Winstead actually escape the bunker and as she runs to the house it lies under see a bright light and a deafening roar.

If that roar is any indication, then it looks like we will get a chance to see the monster or at least a relative of the monster, that terrorized New York in the original Cloverfield. I hope we do get to see it. While I liked the found footage aspect of the first one, I wouldn’t mind getting a much clearer view of the beast that doesn’t require me to pause clips at JUST the right spot. It could also be something totally different. We just don’t know yet.

10 Cloverfield Lane, also starring John Gallagher, Jr., opens in theaters and IMAX March 11.

So what do you think? Are you excited for 10 Cloverfield Lane? Or was (spoiler) watching T.J. Miller getting eaten your breaking point? Let me know on Twitter or sound off in the comments below.
