Ryan Gosling Screaming is All of Us Right Now

Between movies like Drive, Only God Forgives, and Blade Runner 2049, Ryan Gosling has proven he can do a lot without saying much. But what makes an actor truly great is being able to convey a wide range of emotions, and that’s why he’s one of the best performers working today. Because for as good as he is with nothing more than a steely look of stoicism, he’s even better at screaming like a lunatic. And he screams a lot. Which is why this montage of him yelling is the best representation we’ve seen of how we feel all of the time these days.

This video, which we came across at The A.V. Club, was made by YouTube user Silverheart, and it includes every type of Gosling scream you could imagine  after it was updated with his Blade Runner 2049 freak out. We hear him yell in pain, anger, fear, joy, confusion, and a few emotions we aren’t totally certain about.

,

That was very cathartic. Probably because that’s what it sounds like in our heads every time we log on to Twitter nowadays. Or watch the news. Or do anything.

As for Gosling’s actual screaming, I don’t think I ever noticed how high-pitched he gets, or just how much yelling he did in The Nice Guys. That movie is basically his screaming magnum opus.

Which is a pretty great title for some future historians book about 2018.
