Robin Williams Battles the Holidays in A MERRY FRIGGIN’ CHRISTMAS Trailer

Though not his final role, the late and great Robin Williams has a heap of familial drama to deal with in his latest film, A Merry Friggin’ Christmas. Mostly thanks to his ungrateful son and a holiday road trip gone very, very awry. As in, they almost kill Santa (sorta).

But don’t just take our word for it — here’s the film’s brand new trailer:

Joel McHale stars as Boyd, a dad and husband who isn’t all that keen on his own family, seemingly in perma-head-butting mode when it comes to his father, (played by Williams). Starring alongside Williams and McHale are Lauren Graham, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Clark Duke, Oliver Platt, and Candice Bergen. The film is slated to be released on November 7th — just in time for you to start getting your holiday groove on.

As for what’s left for Williams — who tragically passed away in August — the actor completed several films that are slated for the next few months, including December 19th A Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb sequel and Absolutely Anything, a film co-starring Kate Beckinsale, Simon Pegg, Terry Gilliam, Rob Riggle, Joanna Lumley, John Cleese, Eddie Izzard, and Eric Idle. (So basically: a thing that we are very excited to see.) Williams plays a dog named Dennis in the film (Well, OK he’s the voice of the dog, but still). Absolutely Anything is slated to arrive in theaters in February.

Will you are your family go to see A Merry Friggin’ Christmas when it hits theaters? Let us hear your plans in the comments!
