Winter is coming in summer, and the cast of Riverdale is embracing their Archie Comics roots. Those things aren’t usually related, but they are in today’s TV-Cap. Today’s ‘Cap has the Riverdale cast in some adorable throwback photos, news about the Game of Thrones season seven premiere date, a Legion villain theory, and more.

Dreaming in Retro. Thursday’s Riverdale began with a dream sequence that took the teen cast back in time. They donned some ’50s era apparel for the event, and their ensembles are a direct nod to their characters’ classic looks in Archie Comics. Jughead gets his crown, Archie gets his “R” shirt, and Veronica gets bangs. I cannot even handle how charming this cast looks in every damn picture. Hang on to these images for your regular Riverdale fix, because the show’s taking a short break and won’t be back until March 30. [Archie Comics, Images: The CW]

Tap Your Toes. Alert! We are less than 14 days away from The Flash/Supergirl musical crossover on March 21. If you simply cannot wait to learn more about what star Grant Gustin calls “a Glee episode,” then head to Entertainment Weekly. They have information about song titles and what characters like Merlyn will be up to.

Team Z Returns. When The CW’s iZombie comes back with season three on April 4, it’s a different world. They’ve learned about the bigger zombie picture, and they’re all trying to figure out their roles. The first promo, above, is short, but teases a little. Related: if you’re looking for recommendations on which episodes of iZombie to watch or rewatch before the third season, I have you covered with this list. [ScreenCrush]

Watching Ice Melt. Those of you devoted to Game of Thrones likely tuned into the big season seven premiere date announcement on Thursday and watched ice melt… for a while. If you missed it, don’t worry, because Alicia has your back. Season seven will arrive on July 16. Yes, that’s a few months later than the usual premiere, but it wasn’t unexpected. And with seven episodes, it’s also shorter. Check out the above video for a teaser short on new footage but serving plenty of hype. [Nerdist]

Some Theories! After the ice turned into a puddle, we collected our thoughts about season seven and came up with some speculation and thoughts and theories. Amy Vorpahl breaks them down in the latest Nerdist News. [Nerdist]

Ol’ Yellow Eyes. The big bad Devil with Yellow Eyes in Legion creeps me out to no end. I mean, I know he’s not supposed to inspire joyful thoughts of unicorns and daisies, but I have to look away lest he start living in my head. Anyway. Who is this guy? Victoria says he’s the comic book character the Shadow King. Get all the details here at Nerdist.

Then to Now. Today, March 10, marks the series finale of The Vampire Diaries. Eight seasons is a significant amount of time, and I know the show’s gigantic fanbase is feeling emotional today. I’m with you, even though I’m a bit behind on the show. The above video isn’t going to help. It looks back at the very beginning and shows how Elena wakes up for her finale appearance. Maybe have tissues handy. [TVLine]

All Sorts of Casting. Preacher‘s second season is coming to AMC sometime this year, and they’ve expanded the cast with six new members. We don’t have details on who they’ll be playing yet but: Noah Taylor, Pip Torrens, and Julie Ann Emery are hopping aboard as series regulars. Meanwhile in the recurring character department, we have Malcolm Barrett, Ronald Guttman, and Justin Prentice. [ComicBook.com]

Last Night and Beyond. It’s recap round-up time! From Thursday night, we have recaps for:
