Over the last year or so, you might have heard that Ricky Gervais reprised his infamous David Brent from The Office as the front man for the band Foregone Conclusion live on stage (or maybe you were lucky enough to see him do it). Brent is still the same sort of self-important, self-obsessed character that we’ve come to love/hate, but now with a six string.

Gervais-as-Brent has done dates here and there, but he’s now revealed that he’s been planning something for TV by shooting the live shows and, as you’d expect, behind the scenes footage for some sort of TV series. In an interview with the UK’s Sunday Times, he describes the idea as, “…Spinal Tap meets Scorsese meets Anvil.”

With that gleeful comparison floating around your head, let’s hope that this idea ends up as a series somewhere soon, especially since Gervais wants it that way.
