Report: FANTASTIC FOUR Has Found Its Dr. Doom In Toby Kebbell

It looks like the search has ended for someone to fill the mask of Doctor Doom in Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four reboot. According to Variety, 31-year-old British actor Toby Kebbell, best known for his roles in movies like RockNRolla, War Horse, and the upcoming Dawn of the Planet of the Apes has officially been offered the part of the jealous and brilliant Victor Von Doom, beating out other actors said to be up for the role like Jack Huston and Domhnall Gleeson. If Kebbell signs on the dotted line, this will finally put to rest the rumors of Doctor Doom being played by a woman this time around. (Next reboot, maybe. I mean, you know there will be one.)

The original report also states pretty firmly that this reboot will be heavily based on Mark Millar’s Ultimate Fantastic Four series from a decade or so back. So before everyone out there complains about how young everyone is compared to the comic, remember there was a rather successful version of the Fantastic Four in which the principals were all pretty young, so it is based on a comic book, just maybe not the ones you remember. The Fantastic Four  is set to premiere June 19, 2015, and a sequel is already penciled in for summer 2017. So let’s hope that first one works out for everyone.

June 2015 seems awfully aggressive when they haven’t even filled the cast.
