Red Band Trailer for FX’s MARRIED Ponders What Happily Ever After Means

Married, FX’s latest comedy series starring Nat Faxon and Judy Greer, falls in line with a recent trend of a darker, more realistic sort of rom-com like the recently released Obvious Child. Faxon and Greer play a married couple that has had three children and is, for their own sanity, absolutely not looking to have another one. They’re also trying, as one would expect in this situation, to make the marriage more exciting.

This may sound like a bit of a typical premise for a sitcom, but don’t gloss over the wondrous pairing of Judy and Nat. In fact, it’ll be nice to see Faxon get to breathe more in Married, which definitely seems like its going for a more edgier audience than his last show, Fox’s Ben and Kate. Greer is, of course, a delight to watch in the countless TV shows and movies she’s been in. If you’re anything like us, you probably still quote, “Say goodbye to these!” as Kitty Sanchez on Arrested Development.

Not many TV series get to announce that they have a red band trailer, but Married made sure theirs was one of the first trailers to be posted online, which should count in their favor leading up to the show’s premiere next month. In the trailer, we also find some delightful guest appearances from The Daily Show‘s John Hodgman and Jenny Slate, who stars in the aforementioned Obvious Child.

Married is set to premiere on July 17th on FX.
