Radiohead Announced a Few Tour Dates for 2016

The last time Radiohead performed a live show was in 2012, but that’s about to change soon, as the band recently announced a slew of concerts spread throughout 2016.

The band will be on the road from May to October but are keeping a pretty open schedule, only playing 22 shows during that span, including spots at festivals like Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Osheaga Music and Arts Festival in Montreal, and Lollapalooza in Berlin. For our fellow North Americans, there are limited opportunities to see them: They will be playing shows at Madison Square Garden on July 26 and 27 before heading to Osheaga from the 29th to the 30th. Then they’ll be at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on August 4 and 8, and that concludes their stay in North America.

The good news is that those who manage to see the band might hear some new songs, potentially from a new Radiohead album. The band said in October that they have “lots” of new material, and it was even rumored in January that the band’s ninth studio album would be out that month. The band created a new company called Dawn Chorus LLP in October, and historically, that’s been a sign that a new Radiohead album is forthcoming soon. Their two most recent albums, 2011’s The King of Limbs and 2007’s In Rainbows were both preceded by new companies a few months before their release.

The full list of tour dates, as well as information on tickets, is available at the band’s website.
