Quentin Tarantino‘s Dream Cast for PULP FICTION Revealed

Pulp Fiction was the second film that Quentin Tarantino directed as Hollywood professional, and it’s still arguably the best movie that he ever made. After Reservoir Dogs was a critical hit in 1992, Tarantino had greater clout, access to a bigger budget and higher profile actors in Pulp Fiction. The final film was exceptionally well cast.

But what if Tarantino could have gotten every actor that he wanted for Pulp Fiction? A Reddit user has posted a picture that appears to be from an early copy of Pulp Fiction’s script, with Tarantino’s top choices for most of the major roles.

Pulp Fiction wishlist
The first takeaway from this list is that Tarantino wrote Pumpkin and Honey Bunny for Tim Roth and Amanda Plummer, respectively. And he got both of them into the movie. /Film also played with the contrast on the image to reveal that Harvey Keitel was also Tarantino’s first choice for Winston Wolfe, and Wolfe was also a character created with Keitel in mind for the role.

For the small role of Jody, Tarantino wanted Patricia Arquette and he ended up casting her sister, Rosanna Arquette. As for Jody’s drug dealing husband, Lance, Tarantino listed both John Cusack and Eric Stoltz as his top choices, with Stolz eventually taking the role in the movie.

The biggest surprise on the list is how many actors Tarantino had in mind for Vincent, the role that led to John Travolta’s comeback in Hollywood. It’s well-known that Tarantino originally intended Vincent to be portrayed by Michael Madsen, after his memorable role in Reservoir Dogs. But it turns out that Alec Baldwin, Gary Oldman, and Michael Keaton were also among Tarantino’s top picks for Vincent, with William Petersen, Jason Patric, Andy Garcia, Denzel Washington, Dennis Quaid, Robert Carradine, and Aidan Quinn under consideration as well.
