Though many of us may be in the throes of the winter of our discontent, alternative comics publisher Z2 Comics is looking ahead to greener literary pastures, specifically that of the spring. As such, we have the exclusive announcement of Z2 Comics’ first spring title, Hyper Force Neo by Jarrett Williams. The brightly colored, all-ages comic follows high school freshman Dean Masters, who must deal with a little bit more than the trials and travails of surviving the ninth grade; he also leads Hyper Force Neo, a group of teenaged crimefighters who don giant mech suits to defend New Sigma City from the intergalactic evil of Dark Edge. Take a sneak peek at what’s in store in our exclusive preview and your first look at the solicitation text below.
Creator Jarret Williams had this to say of his new comic:
“I’m more than excited! I hope readers really find a ton of enjoyment in the details I’ve put into the characters and futuristic world of Hyper Force Neo. It oozes so much personality for an all-ages comic. I relived a couple of my more awkward high-school moments when I was drawing HFN. I kept thinking what life would be like for mega-powered, junior high kids so I incorporated a lot of my own experiences into this comic as well. Ha! The story, comedic moments, and fight sequences have fused together much better than I expected. I want this to be a monthly comic where each page leaves an impression on the reader, and I think I’ve accomplished that. It’s just a really fun comic.”
