Fans couldn’t get enough of Hiccup and Toothless, so Dreamworks followed up with a Dragons series for the small screen. And in 2016, the Dragon Riders return to take on even more adventures in season 2 of Dragons: Race to the Edge. The gang’s all back but this time, things get dangerous as our heroes face off against a new band of ruthless Dragon Hunters.
In this exclusive clip, the dragons are acting a little strange… Snotlout’s sacred axe is missing and on the way to find it we meet a new dragon called Armor Wing, a large long-necked dragon that lacks natural armor but steals swords, shields and other metal objects to create metallic scales to protect its soft body. Looks like he’s got quite a collection going!
Jay Baruchel and America Ferrera, stars of the How to Train Your Dragon films, return to provide the voices of Hiccup and Astrid, along with Christopher Mintz-Plasse as Fishlegs and T.J. Miller as Tuffnut. This season Alfred Molina makes his debut as a new villain named Viggo.
DreamWorks Dragons: Race to the Edge premieres exclusively on Netflix on January 8, 2016.
