Prepare to Survive with This LAST OF US Mod in GTA V

With the Super Bowl only days away, it’s been hard to think about anything else. If you find yourself in that same predicament, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.  In today’s Gaming Daily, somebody brought The Last of Us to Grand Theft Auto V with a mod, the Doom reboot got a new trailer and release date, EA released a new story trailer for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, Sony announced a limited edition Uncharted-themed PS4, and the folks at Nintendo Life did a cool comparison video featuring all three versions (GameCube, Wii, and Wii U) of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

The Last of Us GTA

Check out these cool The Last of Us/GTA V mods.

We never thought we’d see the day where Joel was able to run around Los Santos, but hey, with the internet anything’s possible. Okay, it’s not really Joel, but the mod and the setting shown off above certainly reminded us of Naughty Dog’s apocalyptic title, The Last of Us. Boy, these GTA V modders just never fail to impress.

In the video at the top of the page, we’re given an interesting look at what the apocalypse would look like in the world of Grand Theft Auto V, via several fan-made mods. The ones featured are: the  map “After Us: Rodeo” (made by GTA 5-Mods user Rapidiment), and the Joel character skin (created by GTAFREAk67S. Of course, there aren’t any Clickers running amok, but we’ll let the modders slide because the video is pretty impressive.

After watching the video, our desire to see Rockstar tackle the apocalyptic genre is further intensified. Though played out at this point, it would be fun to see what sort of things the developer would incorporate in an open-world version of a TLOU-style game. One can dream.

The Doom reboot got a brand new trailer and official release date.

If you’re looking for a reason to get pumped for the Doom reboot, look no further than the new action-packed trailer above. In addition to releasing the trailer, Bethesda also unveiled the collector’s edition and pre-order bonuses, and announced that it would finally be hitting shelves on May 13. Mirror’s Edge Catalyst gets new story trailer and beta.

Another game we’re pretty excited for is EA DICE’s Mirror’s Edge Catalyst. If you’ve been counting the days until its May 24 release date, I have some good news for you! EA revealed that the game will be getting a closed beta. On top of that, the developer released a new story trailer–which you can check out above.

It’s no mystery why we’re excited. Not only do the graphics look crisp, but slipping back into the parkour-ready shoes of Fath is an exciting thought. She’s back and better than ever.

As for the beta, if you want to sign up head on over to the game’s official page and select your platform of choice. As with most betas of this type, registering doesn’t guarantee you a spot. We’re not exactly sure what fans will be able to play in it, but we’re assuming it will have something to do with the leader-board feature.

Sony announced a limited edition Uncharted-themed PS4.

With Uncharted 4 being the final chapter in Nathan Drake’s story, it doesn’t come as a surprise that Sony plans on releasing a limited edition PS4 featuring the adventurous protagonist’s likeness. The company unveiled the gray-blue 500 gb system earlier today, alongside the video above. The console–which will retail for $399.99) will come bundled with a physical copy of Uncharted 4, and a matching DualShock 4, and will release on April 26.

Nintendo Life did a graphics comparison between all three versions of Twilight Princess.

With HD remakes seemingly around every corner these days, it’s hard to know what to expect. While some are completely worth it (usually upgrading the graphics significantly, and enhancing the experience with new features), there are others that unfortunately fall flat. Luckily for Nintendo’s Legend of Zelda franchise, all of the remasters have been spectacular.

Whether Twilight Princess HD keeps with the trend is still up in the air at the moment, but if we’re to make a prediction based on the video above (posted by Nintendo Life), we’d say it’s likely. Twilight Princess has always boasted the best art-style in my opinion, so I can’t wait to see it in action once it releases on March 4th.
