Power Puff Girls: Reimagined

Hello, loyal citizens of Townsville.

Can you believe it’s really been 15 years since the glory that was PowerPuff Girls first graced our humble airwaves? Who can forget the adorable and ass-kicking adventures of Bubbles, Buttercup and Blossom, as they waged war against the forces of “not-niceness”.

Youtuber SalBa Combe  certainly remembers, and in honor of the shows 15th anniversary, has put together a super cool animated “tribute”, re-imagining the PowerPuff Girls opening as the Japanese anime it already kind of was.

From the amazingly authentic narration, to the visual style that should be recognizable to anyone who’s ever seen an anime, to HOLY CRAP LOOK AT MOJO JOJO!; this is an impressive and really fun love letter to one of the best toons of its day.

Well you can’t get more authentic to a generic anime intro then one made by an actual Japanese animation studio.

  6. Phill says:

That video just highlights how much the original animation was influenced by anime. (Not bad, just not that different.) The one Mike posted^^ is a much more interesting re-imagining IMO.
