PINKY AND THE BRAIN Voice Actors Take on PULP FICTION

Now that Animaniacs is on Netflix, and some of the original cast members are going on tour, it’s a great time to revisit two of the best characters on that series: Pinky and the Brain. One is a super-genius mouse bent on world domination…and the other is Pinky, perhaps the most beloved and good natured moron this side of Goofy. You wouldn’t expect Pinky and the Brain to so easily fill the roles of Jules and Vincent from Pulp Fiction, but that’s exactly what happened at SF Sketchfest!

This clip isn’t new, but it’s been making the rounds again this weekend thanks to a post on Geek Tyrant. In this video, Maurice LaMarche (the voice of Brain) reads for Vincent opposite Rob Paulsen (the voice of Pinky) as Jules in the famous scene in which Quentin Tarantino’s iconic hitmen talk about hash in Europe and “Royale with cheese.”

It took a little coaxing from host Cole Stratton to get LaMarche and Paulsen fully on board with the sketch. To his credit, LaMarche was very concerned about using swear words in front of the children in the audience. And yet it was truly hilarious when LaMarche forgot himself and dropped an F-bomb and s*** in character as the Brain/Vincent.

What did you think about Pinky and the Brain as Jules and Vincent? Which Animaniacs voices would you cast as the other characters in Pulp Fiction? Say “what” again, and share your thoughts in the comment section below!
