Do you know what Anakin and Padmé needed for their picnic in Naboo’s lake country in Attack of the Clones? They could have used more chemistry, but besides that, they should have had cheese knives with lightsaber hilt handles and Star Wars characters wine stoppers. What? It would have totally been in-universe. Zeitgaiss’s designs are casual enough for an outdoor meal yet elegant enough for a meal with an esteemed politician like Padmé.
MW Gaiss sculpted the wine stopper busts and lightsaber hilts by hand. They’re metallic so they’re made to last. The knives are aluminum and stainless steel, while the stoppers are cast from metals such as copper, bronze, aluminum, nickel, and silver. My favorite part about the stoppers–aside from looking at Darth Vader or a Stormtrooper every time I top off my glass–is that they’re attached to stoppers with flat bottoms. That means you can actually display them on your counter and show them off like the mini works of art they are. And if you don’t drink wine, you can use the stoppers for oil or vinegar bottles.
Are you ready to bring these items to a galaxy not so far away–like, to your kitchen? You can purchase the entire line on Etsy. Prices start at $12.50. They would make the best presents. Just remember to include a note for the recipient to remind him or her that making lightsaber noises is required while using the cheese knives. Hey, I don’t make these rules up.
