Pickstarter: Help Finish a Ghost Apocalypse Film

You had me at “ghost apocalypse.” Jason Trost’s How to Save Us is an unfinished film wherein, “A young American man goes into hiding in Tasmania after the loss of his parents only to find out the entire island has been quarantined leaving only him and an army of ghosts behind.” Check out the trailer:

The film, shot in Tasmania, used a bunch of practical VFX so that the monsters wouldn’t look stupid in CGI, and needs to raise funds for post production.

Looks like a valiant effort with lots of promise from a filmmaker who wears an eyepatch for practical reasons. Trost has something of a cult following after his 2011 film, The FP, and an uncredited cameo in This is the End.

That looks pretty cool. Too bad I’m poor. Hopefully it raises the money.
