Periods. Films Feature “Periods” Brings the Funny

Missing your high school education? Don’t worry! Nerdist Alliance pals Periods.Films have exciting news! You can get all the history from the dawn of time up until the modern era in their newly compiled and released feature film Periods. Here’s a little look at the trailer:

The film features Zachary Quinto, Penn Badgley, Willie Garson, and everyone’s favorite awkward big online sister, Grace Helbig. Filled with improvised sketch comedy and classic pieces of literature from the olden days to this past century, you’re going to get an ear and eye full of history with this awesomeness. Something tells us that fans of Drunk History will really enjoy it. We also can’t wait to see their interpretations of great classics like Little Women, Bright Lights Big City, and that bestseller of bestsellers, The Bible. The trailer alone has us pretty freaking excited.

The feature presentation was actually produced and filmed over the course of four years while the cast and crew were working on other projects. They released it as a series of short films online, and it has since gained a solid cult following. The Tribeca Film Festival inaugural NOW program, Raindance, Berkshire International Film Festival, and the HollyShorts Film Festival have all featured it.

Anna Martemucci and Victor Quinaz are the creators, and Quinaz directed. It has garnered praise from publications, fans, and the internet. We are happy to pile on our love of things that make us laugh. Please take a moment to appreciate the production, the improv, the costumes, and all the hilarity. And once you’re over your reaction to the trailer, go out and see the whole thing. It’s available on iTunes, Amazon, and Vudu.
