Paul Rudd “Answers Questions” from the ANT-MAN AND THE WASP Set

This year’s Night of Too Many Stars, hosted as always by Jon Stewart and broadcast on HBO, was once again a huge success that raised a ton of money for autism programs. And, as always, its name rang true with far too many stars showing up to support the cause. Paul Rudd, who’s been hard at work filming Ant-Man and the Wasp, even took time out of his busy schedule to record a video for the show in his new superhero suit.

Marvel takes spoilers pretty seriously but since Night of Too Many Stars: America Unites for Autism Programs is vital to raising money for those in need, they still let Rudd answer a few letters from his fans. However, much to his chagrin, no one really wanted to know about his next installment in the MCU. Instead, all the letters seemed focused on a particular scene in I Love You, Man, where Rudd’s character emphatically plays the best version of “air bass” ever committed to film. (If you’ve seen the movie, you know the scene.)

And even though Rudd is literally a superhero on the big screen these days, that “Slappin’ da bass” scene will go down as his most heroic moment in his acting career.

Obviously the video was all in good fun, and Paul Rudd didn’t actually launch into a swear-heavy tirade against an adoring I Love You, Man fan. What non-bass-slappin’ questions would you ask Rudd if you had the chance? Let us know!
