You are not going to believe this, but Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele are really funny even in text. While they may have ended their sketch show on Comedy Central last year, Key and Peele, the two will be back together soon enough in their new film Keanu. To promote the movie they popped on to Reddit for an AMA today (AUA really, “Ask Us Anything”).
The two took questions on topics ranging from what the valets might have said about Arnold Schwarzenegger (“Oh, you talking about Schwartsie? You talking about Arnold Schwartzenburgers? Arnold Schwartzenburgers is my shit. He’s my shiznits.”), what it was like when they first met (“We saw each other perform first, and so we were fans of each othersâ. And then we met at a diner, and it was like the DeNiro/Pacino of comedy.”), and their favorite sketches (“Michael Jackson Halloween” for Keegan and “Gremlins 2” for Jordan).
So because they took the time to answer a lot of great questions (well, some great, some silly, but tomato-tomahto) we took the time to highlight some of our favorites.
ON WHETHER OR NOT THEY HAVE CONCERNS ABOUT ALWAYS BEING VIEWED AS A TEAM
HOW OFTEN SOMEONE SCREAMS “A-A-RON” AT THEM
Stop it people. You should yell “Ozamataz Buckshank” instead.
ON WHETHER THEY WISH THEY STILL HAD THEIR SHOW DURING THE CURRENT ELECTION
ON THEIR “COMEDY PARENTS”
HOW THEY ARE DOING
FAVORITE PIZZA TOPPINGS
WHEN THEY KNEW FARGO WOULD BE GOOD (THEY HAD SMALL ROLES IN SEASON ONE)
These are just a few of our favorites, so make sure you head over and check out the full AMA. It will have to help tide you over until Keanu opens on April 29.
What was your favorite answer? It would be noice if you told us in the comments below.
We talked to Keegan down at SXSW this year, so check out our conversation below!
