Omaze Honors Leonard Nimoy for Final Week of STAR TREK To Boldly Go Campaign

For the last several weeks, Omaze has been running the To Boldly Go initiative to raise money for nine very special charities. People who donate as little as $10 are automatically entered into a drawing to win a chance to get a walk-on role in Star Trek Beyond, hang out with the whole cast—including Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, America’s John Cho, Anton Yelchin, and Idris Elba. Each week, the campaign has been highlighting one of the different charities they’re representing, as well as another aspect of production.

In this final week, Quinto introduces a special tribute to the late, great Leonard Nimoy, who of course is legendary for being the first Spock for over 40 years, being a great filmmaker, and an out-of-this-world humanitarian. His favorite charity, nominated on behalf of Susan Nimoy, was the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, an organization dedicated to advancing cures for childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. It’s an absolutely fitting cause for a man who gave the children of the world so much joy in his years on the Starship Enterprise.

There are but a few days left to try to make yourself a part of the Star Trek Beyond experience, get flown to Vancouver, stay in a fancy hotel, and hang out with the cast on the set of the movie. Yeah, it’s good stuff, but it’s also good causes. And, really, helping folks is what Starfleet is all about, right?

You can read more information and donate by going to Omaze.com/StarTrek. You’ve only got a few days left!
