Oculus Rift Unveils Launch Games, Controllers, and Headset Details

Let the gaming news blitz begin! E3 is fast approaching, but Oculus Rift are kicking off the video game announcement-spree in style with their own dedicated pre-E3 event. In a press conference on Thursday, Oculus Rift showed off the final consumer version of their virtual reality headset, as well as a few other goodies that will go along with their immersive experience once it starts shipping in early 2016. What will their partnership with Microsoft and Xbox One bring to the VR experience? What sort of games can we expect to see with the initial release (and get to test drive at E3)? We can’t wait to get our heads inside the Oculus headset at next week’s expo and find out.

Join Dan Casey as he gives you all the details on the new Oculus games, accessories, and gives you his first-hand account of playing the new first-person space shooter EVE: Valkyrie, on today’s Nerdist News. PLUS, don’t miss special guest KC Wayland, who’s here to share details on his just-launched “We’re Alive” Kickstarter.

Thanks for watching today’s show! Make sure you check out the latest episode of Because Science where Kyle Hill examines the science behind dinosaur cloning, and let us know what you think of the new Oculus games and controllers in the comments below.
