Funko and Warner Bros’ Interactive NYCC Animated Exhibit Takes You into the Worlds of LOONEY TUNES and Hanna-Barbera (Exclusive)

This past summer, we all witnessed a horde of Marvin the Martian Funko Space Clones descend upon San Diego Comic-Con, which turns out to have only been phase one of their master plan. It looks like the invasion is setting its sights on New York this weekend, and this time Marvin is getting some help from his famous animated friends at Looney Tunes and Hanna-Barbera to host a very special exhibit.

During this weekend’s New York Comic Con, Warner Bros. Consumer Products is teaming up with national retailer BoxLunch and video streaming service Boomerang to bring fans the Get Animated Invasion pop-up exhibit in SoHo (at 107 Grand Street). They say the “experiential pop-up space” will allow visitors to be “transported into the world of Warner Bros. through interactive and photogenic installations,” a place “where cartoons come to life and life gets animated.”

The space will include Bugs Bunny’s forest home (during “Rabbit Season,” of course), Wile E. Coyote cliffside world, Warner Bros’ iconic water tower, a Jetsons-themed screening room, Scooby-Doo’s “spooky woods,” a functioning ice cream bar located in The Flintstones‘ Bedrock, Tom and Jerry’s house, and a whole fleet of Space Clones who have invaded Marvin the Martian’s Planet X.

The Get Animated Invasion exhibit will be open to the public from 12 – 7 p.m. between Friday, October 6th and Sunday, October 8th. While Boomerang will provide the visual and interactive portions of the pop-up, BoxLunch will have more than 100 products for sale. That includes both men’s and women’s apparel, bags and accessories, jewelry, novelty items, and more. You can see the entire collection at their webpage, where those of you who won’t be taking a spaceship into New York this weekend (or aren’t close to one of their stores) can still purchase them.

The event will feature an auction of a series of incredible artist-designed, over-sized Marvin the Martian Funko Dorbz, and all proceeds will benefit CalArts’ scholarship programs. You can see the rest of the collection in our gallery below or at spaceclones.com., along with more images from the Get Animated Exhibit.

You can reserve a time slot to make your visit at getanimatedinvasion.com. Warner Bros. and Funko are so eager to make sure fans head over to the Get Animated Invasion exhibit, they’ve even teamed up with Lyft to provide fans free rides over there. Fans can pick-up the coupons at Funko’s NYCC booth, but we’d like to mention that the Lyft rides are from BoxLunch. There will be 1,000 coupons available for free Lyft rides from Comic Con H.Q. at the Javits Center to the Get Animated Invasion pop-up in SoHo.

They’ll be giving out 300-350 per day, and they will be redeemable 11am – 7 p.m. ET from Friday through Sunday. And even though the coupons won’t be activated until Friday, they will start handing them out Thursday when New York Comic Con opens its doors.

We wouldn’t normally be excited about an alien invasion, but we hope the Marvin the Martian Space Clones invade every Con from here on out. Which part of the exhibit would you most want to experience? Which Marvin Space Clone would you most hope to bring home?
