We all know that Robert Downey Jr. is a diva and now we actually get to see him play the part.
Below are images of The Avengers star posing in the most fabulous outfits. Ok, sure. It’s just Tony Stark’s face photoshopped atop pinup renderings, but it’s still all sorts of magical. Found on the Tumblr Pinup RDJ, this project was started by artist Alex a bit over two years ago. Why in the world we didn’t stumble upon this sooner is beyond me.

I don’t even know where to begin! I can’t decide which from the lot is my favorite. RDJ’s face matches so well with these bombshells that I’m strangely even more attracted to him and my insides are feeling lukewarm and fuzzy. This confusing delight is a feeling I’ve never had before, but seeing these images is totally worth it. Admit it, you’re already printing out these bad boys to help keep you warm during those cold winter nights (or to cool you down during this summer heat).

I’ve done this kind of digital cosmetic surgery for years as a hobby & it’s so totally fun. I love seeing others do it as well. But I’m obsessed with details. If I’m going to be outrageous, I try to make it as believable as possible to the point of harmless disturbing. Still, it’s all in comic book style fun.

I don’t know who drew the heads, but the name of the pinup artist was Gil Elvgren ( he died in 1981 )……Do a search of ‘images’ – Gil Elvgren. Probably the GREATEST pinup artist there was. There are YouTube videos of a lot of his work set to music, and there’s a Gil Elvgren Facebook page.
