February saw the release of the first Star Wars-inspired collection of Tsum Tsum. If you haven’t heard the phrase Tsum Tsum before, you’re about to entire a whole new world–a whole new world that will probably cost you dollars. Tsum Tsum are stackable plushes from Disney, and they’re some of the cutest toys I’ve ever seen. The adorable designs feature Disney, Marvel, Pixar, and Star Wars characters. An upcoming release is all about The Phantom Menace and includes Jar Jar Binks, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Qui-Gon Jinn, Queen Amidala, Darth Maul, and Sebulba. I’m going to need them all.
The collection will be in Disney’s retail and online stores on April 5. Why yes, that is the same date as the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens on Blu-ray and DVD. The first Star Wars release featured a ton o’ characters from the original trilogy, so I’ll be interested to see if upcoming prequel Tsum Tsum (if there are any) will be grouped by episode. I hope so because I want Jango Fett, Taun We, and Chancellor Palpatine!
If you catch the Tsum Tsum bug, you should know new collections are released by Disney on the first and third Tuesdays of every month. Some collections fly off shelves in less than 12 parsecs so don’t hesitate if you spot some you want.
Will you be buying any of The Phantom Menace Tsum Tsum plushes? Head to the comments and tell me which ones are on your list.
