New Year, New Shows: Upcoming Podcasts

You may have noticed a few additions to the Nerdist Podcast Network over the past few weeks while I’ve been away for the holidays and getting the CES Nerd Flu. Those are just the beginning. (The shows, not the flu. I hope.) The new shows are just part of some exciting things we have planned this year, and you’ll learn more as things progress. In the meantime, we have plenty to which we can look forward this week:

Samantha Bee will be on the Nerdist Podcast in support of her new show Full Frontal, coming to TBS starting Februuary 18th. You’ll hear her talk about her time on The Daily Show, family, her jousting with Vanity Fair over that late-night host panel, and becoming American.

If all the technical stuff is worked out in time, we’ll be adding a new show within hours, and it’s a Bachelor recap show, but not just any Bachelor recap show. It’s Will You Accept This Rose?, on which one of our favorite comedians, Arden Myrin, and one of our other favorite comedians, Erin Foley, talk about the latest episodes of the Bachelor franchise along with one of our OTHER other favorite comedians, the Bitter Buddha, Eddie Pepitone, who’s kinda new to the whole Bachelor thing.

The Writers Panel
will feature the New York Comic-Con panel on Colony, the new series from Universal and Legendary co-created by Carlton Cuse on USA Network. The show premieres this week (Thursday, to be precise).

Brandon Routh will be trading facts and stuff with Razzle and Dan on Today We Learned. The Atom! Brandon’s also in the movie 400 Days, which comes out in theaters and on-demand on Tuesday.

Ryan Stout will be back for the second half of that two-part Todd Glass Show — so much entertainment we had to split it in two.

Mike and Tom will be back with another snack for their loyal viewers on Mike and Tom Eat Snacks.

And as for the new shows that debuted while our weekly preview post was on hiatus, we’re now the proud home of The Jackie and Laurie Show with Jackie Kashian and Laurie Kilmartin, Half Hour Happy Hour with Alison Haislip and Alex Albrecht (hey, Four Points fans, they’re back!), and Kicking and Screaming with Jenna and Bodhi Elfman. Another new show is scheduled to start this week, too, but we’ll talk about that when it’s ready. So much new fresh good stuff.

You’ll find all of it, of course, at the Nerdist Podcast Network homepage and Facebook page. Go and subscribe to all the shows and get 2016 started right… as opposed to me, but that’s what happens when you forget to bathe in Purell when you go to CES. Every freakin’ year…
