New Photo Shows The Female GHOSTBUSTERS in Action!

Next summer, there’s something strange in the neighborhood, and Sony is gonna call a brand new team of female Ghostbusters to take care of it! Director Paul Feig has assembled Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon,
and Leslie Jones to headline the Ghostbusters reboot. From the looks of things, the new lineup is going to have their hands full in the movie.

While the original Ghostbusters film featured numerous ghosts, the main villains were Zuul, the Keymaster, Gozer, and the giant-sized Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. According to Entertainment Weekly, Feig’s reboot will feature even more dangerous ghosts to bust.

“Dead criminals from all eras of New York’s underbelly past have returned to roost among the living…Pilgrims, old-timey sailors, Revolutionary War spirits, and even a couple of zoot-suited gangsters are ready to take on four formidable female busters looking to rid the city of its phantasmic filth.”

EW also debuted a new photo of the Ghostbusters as they head into action while an overturned fire truck lies nearby.

Further story details are unclear, but it has been announced that Neil Casey is playing the film’s main villain, Rowan. Chris Hemsworth is portraying Kevin, the Ghostbusters’ receptionist, with Andy García as the Mayor of New York City, and Michael K. Williams as Hawkins. Former Game of Thrones star Charles Dance also has a role in the film.

Original Ghostbusters stars Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Bill Murray, Annie Potts, and Sigourney Weaver are all slated to make cameos in the Ghostbusters reboot as new characters.

Ghostbusters will haunt movie theaters on July 15, 2016.
