New MOCKINGJAY – PART 2 Poster Decapitates President Snow

The Capitol is on its way out, and a new government is on its way in. That’s what the rebellious citizens of Panem are trying to make happen in The Hunger Games, and an intense new poster for Mockingjay – Part 2 shows the revolution is making strides. We saw Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) serve as the symbolic mockingjay in Part 1 of the film, and her presence and participation in the revolt inspired civilians around the districts of Panem to take up arms against President Snow and all he stands for.

A beheaded statue of President Snow is quite the powerful image and works effectively as a rallying point in-universe and as a marketing technique in our world. You can unite and take a stand at Revolution.pn by enrolling with your email address. The site says, “Dawn is approaching. A new day is on the horizon. Be part of the next generation of Panem. Enlist today.”

Now is the time to choose sides. When we left off in Mockingjay – Part 1, the first domino had long been tipped over. The Districts are committing acts of insurgency–District 5 gained a huge win by destroying the dam that provided electricity to the Capitol. Snow fought back though. He bombed District 13. He also brainwashed Peeta and released him back to Katniss. In short, the business got serious and the road ahead looks grim.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 will be in theaters on November 20, 2015. Which character do you hope to see more of in the final film? Let me know in the comments, but please keep it spoiler-free for those who haven’t read the books.
