New Look Ken Looks Absolutely Fierce in STREET FIGHTER V

Comic-Con has just begun and we already have some surprising Hadoukens headed our way. During their SDCC panel, Capcom took the opportunity to reveal Ken Masters as the new cast member to join the upcoming PS4, PC exclusive, Street Fighter V. His inclusion in the game doesn’t really come as a surprise since he’s become a staple of the franchise at this point, but he’s different this time. The rad looking ponytail isn’t the only redesign; the way he fights seems to have been changed so he doesn’t feel similar to Ryu.

From the short clip shown off at the panel, Ken seems to move extremely quick and has attacks that appear tailored for an aggressive type of play style. It will be interesting to see how the character is adapted by the pro level community. Surely they will have a great time mastering this new look Ken along with the Variable System that allows for easy adaptability during a fight.

He will be playable on the Con show floor so if you’re on here in the wonderfully warm city of San Diego, swing by and check him out. We will definitely take the opportunity to get a few matches in ourselves so be on the lookout for updates here. A new secret fighter was also teased at the panel, but there’s no official announcement on that yet. There will, however, be an upcoming comic book cross-over event that includes Street Fighter and G.I. Joe. The 6 issue mini-series will be launching in 2016. Fans of the extremely popular fighter have plenty to look forward to.

Street Fighter V is slated to release sometime next year. It will also feature cross play between PS4 and PC owners so it should become extremely competitive rather quickly.
