The season premiere of The Flash isn’t until this Tuesday, but just like our time-travelling speedster, it’s always fun to look into the future. Here are some images from the season’s second episode, “The Flash of Two Worlds.”
Just like the name and story from the 1961 comic book, “The Flash of Two Worlds” introduces Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears), the Flash of Earth-2, to the DC television universe. According to the official synopsis, Jay arrives from Earth-2 to warn Barry and the team about the villain Zoom.
This episode also features new character Patty Spivot (Shantal VanSanten), who is attempting to become a member of Joe West’s meta-human task force. The comic version of Patty is Barry’s girlfriend and co-worker in the Central City crime lab. It will be interesting to see if any of their relationship from the comics will carry over to the television show. There is already a new dynamic, as rather than be a member of the crime lab, Patty is a beat cop. (That makes sense. From everything I have observed, Barry is the ONLY member of the crime lab. Otherwise, someone would have noticed the board tracking his mother’s murder a LONG time ago.)
